Beginner Shoulder Progressions (Rotator Cuff–Friendly)
A 4-week shoulder progression that starts with activation, builds control, then adds light loading. Rotator cuff–friendly, equipment-flexible, and easy to scale.
Enhancement to the FitnessTracker Exercise Directory
There is a new feature in the FitnessTracker resource section - now you can learn more about exercise equipment and browse lists of exercises that you can do with your equipment. Get stronger or faster safely and affordably with free content.
My Anywhere Bodyweight Routine (Beginner Edition)
This beginner-friendly routine is perfect for runners, travelers, or anyone returning to movement. It's low on gear, high on adaptability, and grounded in listening to your body rather than counting reps.
Rewriting more exercises
Did you know that writing about exercises does not actually count as doing exercises? What a load of crap. My annoyance at science aside, I have been steadily rewriting content while getting the app ready for launch. This round of exercises was a lot of fun, reminded me of some pain and even inspired a joke that manages to be really bad and totally obscure at the same time.
More exercises added to the directory!
There is a bunch of new and better content available in the exercise directory now. This directory will keep growing, both in terms of the resources we offer and the content available for each directory and this should give you a good sense of how this site will grow over the coming weeks.
Coming soon - B Vitamins B Good
The nutrition section is loaded up with some basic information but it is time to go deeper - a section specifically dedicated to B vitamins is coming soon. It turns out that the phrase B complex is not just marketing.
New Nutrition Section
The new nutrition section has launched, but like many other parts of the site it will also undergo a lot of big changes before the FitnessTracker application is released. It launched with a lot of information on macros, vitamins and minerals but will expand to include information tailored for plant based people and those with other dietary requirements.
All New - Muscle Groups Resource
The Muscle Groups resource is a starting point for a much wider resource on anatomy. However, those muscle groups are part of the exercise directory so it is useful to include information on them.
New Exercise Directory
The new exercise directory contains 874 exercises, organized by primary and secondary muscle groups. It’s the start of a broader resource system that will soon include workouts, interviews, and deeper training insights.
New Resources Section
A lot of new content has just dropped - FitnessTracker has released an exercise directory plus information on muscles, nutrients and vitamins. Learn more about our resources section and learn what kinds of content it will feature.
