Fitness Resource Directory: Exercises, Muscles, and Nutrition

This reference section is a structured directory of fitness knowledge - including:

  • Exercises with step-by-step instructions, muscle targeting, and accessibility-focused descriptions.
  • Muscle group breakdowns that help you understand what each movement trains.
  • Nutrient guides covering vitamins, minerals, and macronutrients to support your training and recovery.

Everything is written with privacy, accessibility, and long-term learning in mind. You’ll find the same content powering the FitnessTracker app — but available here, free, forever.

Browse the exercise directory and learn about movements that can help you build strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Understand how major muscle groups function and which exercises target them.

Explore essential nutrients, food sources, and how diet supports your performance goals.

Rewriting more exercises

Did you know that writing about exercises does not actually count as doing exercises? What a load of crap. My annoyance at science aside, I have been steadily rewriting content while getting the app ready for launch. This round of exercises was a lot of fun, reminded me of some pain and even inspired a joke that manages to be really bad and totally obscure at the same time.

More exercises added to the directory!

There is a bunch of new and better content available in the exercise directory now. This directory will keep growing, both in terms of the resources we offer and the content available for each directory and this should give you a good sense of how this site will grow over the coming weeks.
