Cable One Arm Tricep Extension

Isolate your triceps with focused, one-sided cable resistance.

For lifters using the FitnessTracker app to eliminate strength imbalances, the Cable One Arm Tricep Extension is an excellent option. It lets you focus on one side at a time while keeping strict form.

Instructions

  1. Attach a single handle to a high pulley and stand facing the weight stack.
  2. Grab the handle with an underhand grip and pull it down so your elbow is tucked close to your side.
  3. Extend your arm downward until it is fully straightened, keeping your upper arm stationary.
  4. Pause briefly at the bottom, squeezing the triceps, then return slowly to the starting position.
  5. Complete the desired reps on one side, then switch arms and repeat.
