Donkey Calf Raises are a great addition to lower body training in the Fitness Tracker app. They emphasize the calves and soleus with a deep range of motion and improved leverage from the bent-forward position.
Instructions
- Set up on a donkey calf raise machine with your hips and lower back beneath the padded lever.
- Place the balls of your feet on the edge of the calf platform, allowing your heels to hang off.
- With your knees straight but not locked, lower your heels until you feel a full stretch.
- Push through the balls of your feet and raise your heels as high as possible, contracting your calves at the top.
- Slowly return to the starting position and repeat for the target number of reps.
