Drag Curl

Target your biceps with maximum isolation using a barbell.

Drag Curls are a biceps-focused movement that restricts shoulder involvement by “dragging” the barbell up your torso, placing all the tension on your arms.

Instructions

  1. Stand with a barbell in a supinated (underhand) grip and arms extended down.
  2. Keep your elbows pulled back behind your body.
  3. As you curl, keep the bar in contact with your body and drag it upward toward your chest.
  4. Pause and squeeze at the top, then lower slowly while maintaining bar contact.
