Step-ups are an excellent way to train each leg independently while also improving coordination and balance. This movement mimics daily activity like climbing stairs but with added resistance.
Instructions
- Hold a dumbbell in each hand and stand in front of a box or bench.
- Step onto the platform with your right foot, driving through the heel.
- Bring your left foot up to stand fully on the box.
- Step down with your left foot first, then your right.
- Repeat all reps on one side before switching.
