Using chains with the floor press teaches aggressive lockout strength and helps lifters maintain control through the entire range.
Instructions
- Drape chains over the barbell and set up lying flat under the bar in a power rack.
- Unrack the bar with your elbows locked out and lats engaged.
- Lower the bar under control until your triceps touch the floor.
- Press back up explosively, keeping your arms aligned and tight throughout.
- Repeat for the desired number of reps.
