Power Snatch

The power snatch builds total-body power and coordination. It’s a fast, technical lift that teaches how to move weight overhead in one swift motion.

Instructions

  1. Stand with feet hip-width apart and take a wide grip on the barbell.
  2. Lower your hips and lift your chest so the bar is close to your shins.
  3. Drive through your legs and lift the bar by extending your hips and knees.
  4. As the bar rises, pull yourself underneath and catch it overhead with straight arms.
  5. Land in a quarter squat, then stand up tall with the bar locked overhead.
