The power snatch builds total-body power and coordination. It’s a fast, technical lift that teaches how to move weight overhead in one swift motion.
Instructions
- Stand with feet hip-width apart and take a wide grip on the barbell.
- Lower your hips and lift your chest so the bar is close to your shins.
- Drive through your legs and lift the bar by extending your hips and knees.
- As the bar rises, pull yourself underneath and catch it overhead with straight arms.
- Land in a quarter squat, then stand up tall with the bar locked overhead.
