A dynamic core movement that challenges your balance, control, and coordination. Just as mentally challenging as they are physically taxing, up and down planks are totally attainable with focus and discipline. Up and down planks and turkish get ups are two of my absolute favourite exercises.
Instructions
- Start in a high plank position with your hands directly under your shoulders and your body in a straight line.
- Lower your right forearm to the ground, followed by your left, entering a forearm plank.
- Press back up to the starting position one arm at a time, right arm first, then left.
- Repeat the movement, alternating which arm leads the motion.
